The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club, who have been going for a long while have had their last breakfast. On Wednesday 16 March 2022, the remaining members had a gathering in the Han Restaurant in Osnabrück for a final get together. Although the Breakfast Club is now no more, I am sure some members will be meeting up again, aslong-term relationships cannot be forgotten so easily.

Bike to Berlin May 2022

On Thursday 5 May 2022, the Royal British Legion Cycling Branch, visited our Osnabrück branch as part of the “Bike to Berlin 2022”, which is a challenge to ride a cycle from the Cenotaph in London to the `Neue Wache, Berlin´, to arrive there on VE Day, Sunday 8^th May 2022.

On a glorious sunny Thursday they arrived in numbers, about 10 cyclists and a support driver with a van, at 12:30 and spent about an hour relaxing, after already riding from Münster.

The leader of the group, Mr Paul Harding, ex RAF, then presented the Osnabrück Branch with a remembrance plaque of their visit. The plaque can be seen in the bar.

After a couple of refreshing cold drinks and the toilet, they made their way onto Herford and Minden.

We were glad to have supported them and have them visit us here in Osnabrück and hoped they achieved their goal of arriving at the Brandenburger Tor on Sunday 8th May 2022, before flying back to the UK.
